   Today I have the book blurb of Karl F. Hollenbach's "A Journey to the Four Kingdoms". Here we go:

Firebreather is one extraordinary toy dragon. Not only does he belong to Pid, the Prince Royal, but they can also talk to each other. As Pid grows up, Firebreather helps him along the way, first as he learns at school, then by traveling with him to Klarum to further educate him.

On their path, Pid and Firebreather learn of the Great Secret and are tasked to seek it out so Pid can become the high king. They learn that to find the answer to the Great Secret, Pid must first face the Black Demon. And to do this, he must first find the Quadrunes: the treasures belonging to the demon.

The Quadrunes are guarded by the tetrarchs, and the two friends must in turn face the four beasts before facing off with the Black Demon itself. But will they learn the Great Secret in the end, and will Pid become who he has to be?
